Ok, so I took Scott McCloud's little dare. Rarely have I felt more helpless than when that clock started and I realized that I had no idea what to write or draw. The first things I had to leave behind were my inhibitions, and without my internal critic I was able to write my first full length comic, and if it feels like a cheesy 80's movie at times, that's what heppens when you go with the first thing that comes to your head, or at least to my head.

The rock formation above provides links to content related to The Migration. First, read the comic in it's entirety. Then you can read it again with my commentary accompanying it, or click About to read my general thoughts on the experience, along with extras like my sketchbook from that day and night, and excerpts from "Rock Art Symbols of the Southwest", the book that gave me the idea. Finally, watch the documentary film, Irvin's 24, shot during those long hours.
